This Bluffton youth band performed for President Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis
In a Bluffton brush with history, these young Bluffton musicians are reported to have played in Indianapolis upon the occasion when President Benjamin Harrison was guest of honor.
One of several Bluffton youth bands in which reflected an early community interest in music of all kinds, is shown in photo dating to Aug. 29, 1886.
The band was organized in 1883 by George Ritzler, Sr., manager was Morris Mumaugh and instructor was George Tipton of the Famous High Henry Minstrels.
