Okay, let's step inside for a closer look
If you remember this building then you are at least 40 years old - depending upon your memory abilities as a youngster. It's the 1911 wing of Bluffton High School that came down 36 school years ago - in 1987.
With the 2022-23 school year coming to a close, this is a good time to step back into the 1911 building and look around.
If you have no idea what this photo represents, stand in front of the St. John's United Church of Christ and look at Bluffton High School.
This 1911 structure stood on the corner of Jackson and College where the current "new addition" of the high school stands today. (1987 photos Photos by Fred Steiner)

The 1911 wing is gone and construction is underway for the new addition.
I wonder how many marbles were found when they tore down the west side. I can remember marbles rolled In between classrooms under the wooden doors. Also a time or two the marbles would roll down the fire escapes, LOL 😂 The one memory I have in a study hall on the third floor was the day President Kennedy was shot in Dallas Texas. It was a sad day for sure in 1963. I’m sure others will have comments on your post Fred. We had some good teacher’s and Bluffton was and still is, a good place live and go to school.Go Pirates 🇺🇸
