This troop was sponsored by the Bluffton American Legion post. The photo was taken as the troop left Bluffton town hall. In the background is a Hudson auto dealership. It is the present-day A to Z Meats building.
The scouts rode standing up in the town’s Page Dairy delivery truck all the way to Bluffton Scout Camp Lakota for its summer camp near Defiance, according to a Morris Groman. This photo and information was published in the Bluffton News.
