NKP train stops in Bluffton for a football special
to watch the Browns play the '49ers – $7.50 gets you a ticket and into the stadium
Attention Cleveland Browns fans. The Nickel Plate Railroad has a football special for the game between the Browns and the San Francisco ‘49ers on Nov. 16 (1947).
The train will stop at the Bluffton station on Railroad Street at 9 a.m. Tickets are on sale at the depot in Findlay for $7.50 each.
The ticket price includes a round trip from Findlay to Cleveland and return and admission to the game. (Apparently the train does not stop in Bluffton on the return trip.)
The Browns finished the season at 12-1-1 and defeated the ‘49ers 37-14. Attendance to the game was 76,504. - Almost a sell out.
